A Barcode registration certificate helps corporations and firms engaged in commerce, to monitor their businesses, to ensure the security of their products and correctly transfer the properties of their products. Corporations can receive this certificate by registering their barcodes. With this certificate, one can efficiently use the barcoding system and conduct their operations correctly and swiftly.
How Barcodes are Registered?
The institution authorized to register barcodes in Turkey is the Turkish Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges (TOBB). This institution conducts barcode registration processes simultaneously with corporations working in the same field.
It is required to be registered to the Turkish Chamber of Commerce or the Chamber of Merchants and Craftsmen in order to apply for a barcode registration. Each application meeting these criteria is examined and processed by the Turkish Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges. Corporations wishing to receive barcodes are able to receive them according to the number of their products. Additionally, it is required to submit all the documents required to register a barcode in full and correct form as well as the receipt stating the payment for the system entry fee. After all these processes are completed without any problems, members, upon registration of their barcodes, are required to pay the annual system usage fee in the subsequent years after their registration in order to extend their memberships.
